"The Dream
of the Rood" was a personal account illustrating the crucifixion of Jesus
Christ. The writer makes mention of an attractive illuminated gem tree that was
used to persecute Jesus on the cross. The cross was used to
crucify an evil doer in those days. Despite this fact, the cross of Jesus
didn't embrace an evil doer; but it embraced the total sins of mankind. All
creation wept, as our Creator was on the cross. There are going to be rough
situations, but we as Christians must remain strong. Just as Jesus died for our
sins; we must be willing to pick up the cross and die for Him.
